A fresh, new look and streamlined website for Manchester-based VoIP company, Packnet

Packnet is a well-established independent internet telephony service provider who we’ve worked with for over 10 years, spanning a number of website redesigns and improvements as the company has grown. Offering flexible VoIP services and a comprehensive reseller programme, Packnet are trusted by over 500 businesses in the UK to provide top-class business phone solutions and expert support.

We were contacted by Packnet in mid 2019 with the task of rebranding and streamlining their web presence for 2020, with a focus on clean, modern design and an improved user experience.

Working alongside Packnet, our designers came up with a fresh new look for the website, together with a brand new logo which complements the clear and simple style well. The brand colour palette has been stripped back considerably, adding much needed subtlety to the look and feel of the website; moving away from shades of purple and pink and utilising more whites and greys, allowing the content more room to breathe and stand out. The imagery used on the website has also taken a different approach, transitioning from Manchester-focussed design to a more product and service based style featuring screenshots of the software.

Packnet’s website also required some restructuring to clean up the navigation and enhance the user experience, this included the consolidation of some sections of the site, making the content more concise and easily accessible.

A couple of useful new features have been introduced to the website as well; Phone Number Search allows users to search Packnet’s number ranges or transfer an existing number to Packnet, and the Call Cost Calculator lets visitors see the costs to call particular countries/regions using Packnet’s Hosted Telephony service.
