The Webpraxis website has been designed to be accessible to as many people as possible.
The Webpraxis website allows for all text sizes to be increased without any page distortion.
Using Internet Explorer click the view menu (as shown below) then text size and choose an appropriate text size from the pull out menu.
If you are using Firefox use the short cut “ctrl +” to increase the text size or “ctrl -” to decrease.
All pages (where possible) comply with priority 1 and in most cases priority 3, guidelines of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
All pages on this site validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict. The CSS also validates.
The pages on this site use structured semantic markup. H1 tags are used for main titles, H2 tags for subtitles.
For example, on this page, JAWS users can skip to the next section within the accessibility statement by pressing ALT+INSERT+2.
Webpraxis recommend downloading Mozilla Firefox. Firefox is the next generation of web based browsers and includes an integrated pop-up blocker, tabbed browsing, live bookmarks, support for open standards, and great accessibility features. It functionality can be extended further still by downloading some of the many Firefox extensions.
We’ve been using the Web accessibility toolbar for a while now, its a very handy tool for validating web pages, disabling CSS style sheets, and testing websites at different screen resolutions. Download it here
